for a Better, Safer Tukwila

Public Safety Through Innovation

Hannah believes in smart, community-centered public safety that builds trust with the community while responding to safety needs. She champions Tukwila's co-responder program, where mental health professionals work alongside police and fire to de-escalate situations, connect people to services, and avoid unnecessary arrests or emergency room visits. Public safety should mean safety first for everyone.

Housing as a Human Right

Addressing Tukwila's housing affordability crisis requires creativity and determination. Hannah supports streamlining building codes and permitting processes to make development more efficient and accessible, while strengthening tenant protections and advocating for more affordable housing. Her goal is ensuring Tukwila remains a place where families can afford to live, grow, and stay rooted.

Human Services & Inclusivity

Despite having just two staff members and a $420,000 budget, Tukwila's Human Services team works magic for our community. Hannah is committed to expanding their resources and platform, supporting programs like the Community Navigator and ensuring residents know what services are available. Every person in Tukwila deserves to have their basic needs met.

Financial Sustainability

With her extensive experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets, Hannah brings fiscal expertise to ensure Tukwila's financial stability through economic changes. She focuses on sustainable budgeting practices that protect essential services while fostering long-term growth and resilience.

Environmental Stewardship

Hannah champions Tukwila's deep connection to nature through programs like Green Tukwila, which aims to restore 138 acres of forest by 2036. She supports expanding green infrastructure, making environmental education accessible, and ensuring frontline communities have a voice in climate action planning.

Equity in Governance

From procurement processes to community engagement, Hannah works to ensure city resources and processes reflect and serve all residents. This includes breaking down barriers for women-, LGBTQIA+-, and minority-owned businesses and making city government more transparent and accountable to all communities.
